Vitour Tire Semi-Slick Series Debuts at 2024 China Auto Hill Climbing Championship Hanyin Station

From March 29 to April 1, 2024, the 2024 China Auto Hill Climbing Championship will be held in Hanyin. The China Auto Hill Climbing Championship (CHC) is a sports event approved by the State General Administration of Sports and the China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation. It belongs to the national A-level sports competition content and is included in the annual plan of the State General Administration of Sports and the China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation calendar. It is the only all-round hill climbing championship of the highest level in China's automobile category. The types of licenses include off-road licenses, rally licenses and track licenses. The event attracted more than 400 racers from Beijing, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Guangdong, the Macao Special Administrative Region and Singapore to sign up for the competition and compete fiercely.

The Vitour Tire-SD CY Racing team participated in this mountain climbing race. The Chengdu SD CY Racing team, sponsored by Vitour Tire, registered a total of 3 cars.

Sichuan driver Xiang Huan signed up for the race with his old partner Dongfeng Honda Civic. Equipped with the latest Disha P1 (245/40ZR17) from Veyron Tire, he achieved an ideal result of 7 minutes and 55 seconds on the first day, finishing fourth in the field and first in the group.

Zhao Tong, a young driver from Shandong, drove a Scirocco car carefully modified by SD CY Racing and equipped with ENZO V-01R from Vitour. On the first day of the competition, he achieved the ideal result of 8 minutes and 16 seconds, the second in the group. After getting familiar with the track, he achieved a time of 7 minutes and 53 seconds on the second day. In the final on the third day, he broke through again and achieved a time of 7 minutes and 44 seconds. He won the second place in the field group and the first place in the field super A group.

Wang Yimin, a driver from Shandong, drove a brand-new Toyota Supra, equipped with the brand-new Disha P1 of Vitour Tire. This was Wang Yimin's first national track race. On the first day, he was completely unfamiliar with the mountain roads and achieved an ideal time of 8:58, winning second place in the track Super B group. After two days of track running-in, the car made a mistake in the first race of the final on the 31st. Fortunately, the team technicians repaired it on the spot in time, and he finally won the runner-up in the track Super B group with 8:27.83.

This is the first time that the SD CY Racing team has used Vitour tries to participate in a competition. It is also the first time that the team has registered for a national-level competition. There were many small episodes amid the excitement, but it did not prevent this from being a wonderful competition.
