Truck tyres are designed to carry a greater load than passenger and light truck tyres, they are a much larger and stronger tyre which has a high profile, deep tread, and large tread grooves.

Truck tyres are offered in three different types of tyres, these options are determined but their axle position on the vehicle and should only ever be fitted to its specific axle. These positions include, steer tyres, drive tyres and trailer tyres. Sometimes a truck tyre will be used as an all-position tyre, this is a tyre that has been designed to be versatile and constructed to perform in any axle position.
